Myth & Byte · privacy

Your feedback stays private.

This notice explains how we handle feedback and optional product analytics for Window Me This.

Last updated October 12, 2026.

Feedback you send

What does the feedback form collect?

The form sends the feedback type, title, description, and the app version if you provide it. An email address is optional and is used only to reply to you. You do not need an account or license key to submit feedback.

Who can read a report, and how long is it kept?

Reports are private to the people who handle Window Me This support and development. We keep a report, including an optional reply address, for about 12 months after it is submitted, then delete it.

What should I leave out?

The form does not accept file uploads. Do not include a license key, passwords, window titles, private document contents, or other sensitive information in the title or description.

What connection information is processed?

Cloudflare and our hosting provider process your network IP address to deliver the request and help limit abuse. We do not save the IP address in a feedback report. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile as a spam and abuse check.

Optional app analytics

What happens when analytics are enabled?

Starting with version 1.0.5, Window Me This offers Share anonymous feature counts in App options. It is off by default, including after an upgrade. Only after you enable it does the app send approved feature names, counts, and its version, about once a day. Events do not include a persistent device ID, email address, license key, window title, or document contents.

The approved counts cover layout deployments, custom layout saves, parent groups created, Auto-tab activations, manual Memory saves, and failed update checks. Turning the option off stops further collection and clears unsent counts. An HTTP request already in flight may finish. Versions 1.0.4 and earlier do not send these analytics.

How are analytics kept?

We combine event counts into daily totals. Short-lived deduplication keys are kept for about 48 hours, and aggregate daily usage totals are kept for about 90 days. Cloudflare processes the connection IP address to deliver requests and limit abuse; we do not store it in the analytics database.

For questions about a report or this notice, email support. You can also send Window Me This feedback.
